Evelyn.

God must be - by definition - the giver of everything. You can't just
credit a god with the good bits and pass the bad bits on to another.
He's supposed (at least in most religions) to be all powerful and the
creator of the Universe.

You sound like a Christian - but what did Jesus say about killing? Thou
shalt not kill. No ifs or buts whatsoever. Now if you accept the
Christian teaching then you presumably accept the Holy Trinity which -
correct me if I am wrong - understands that the Christian God has three
forms and those are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - in other
words Jesus is - literally - God on Earth.

How can you in all conscience allow your daughter to join the army? Her
function within the army is to disobey the word of your God. Sounds a
strange type of worship to me.

Matthew,
I understand and that fact is very personal to me since I have a
daughter
who has now joined the army. But all that bloodshed is not caused by
God.
Religion is one thing but God is a loving heavenly Father who I love
with
all my heart. He is the giver of good things like beautiful music. I
believe Satan has his hand in the rest.
