I have very carefully avoided reference to any deity in my discussion of
this topic, since not everyone is a believer, and since it is really only a
side issue at best. Whether we are male and female because of God's plan
or through an entirely godless creation/evolution process (personally don't
think this is possible, but whatever) the fact is there. If rats and other
lower animals turn to homosexuality in response to overpopulation stress,
that's fine, I suppose, since it reduces the stress on both the individual
AND the population. But it is still an adaptation in response to
stress. I like to think that higher primates like humans could do a little
better. The writers of the Bible thought so, too.

I'm sorry to keep this thread going, but the subject IS close to me, via
another family member.
