I get similar results for these notes on my Buffet 1193 bass. I think
it's mainly the rather large register hole that throws them off, at
least in the case of the bass. If I can manage to play them in clarion
without benefit of register key or if I use the l.h. 1 altissimo vent as
register vent the notes are much better behaved.
