Hi Matthew,

Ah yes, now I remember. We do spell center as centre, but usually when =
we are referring to a group of buildings. I guess you could say the =
same for theater, but we do use theatre too. I think the big difference =
is that in this country, we use both spellings but for different =
reasons. You guys use a single spelling for everything. And I don't =
think it is an issue of right and wrong necessarily, but that given the =
nature of this country being a "new land" so to speak, so we are more =
receptive to new ways and words. Think of all the things that are born =
of American ingenuity. I'm not laying bragging rights here, it's just =
that "need is the mother of invention" and this is a big country. You =
live in a small country. The world has benefited greatly by American =
"need". And if there had been no Britain, there wouldn't be the "needy" =
America we know today. I could go on forever here, but I think you =
know what I am getting at and won't take it to extremes.
