Sounds like you have the right explanation already with the register key
idea, Tim.
Now a quick question for one of you mouthpiece makers/specialists on the
list. I have an old Brilhart Ebolin mouthpiece that was in the case of a
Selmer BT I bought on eBay. Whoever used it plowed a trench with their teeth
in the bite plate that goes down to the beak area underneath. Any
suggestions on filling or replacing the white material? Epoxy is out even
though I use a tooth patch, as I don't want any exposure to bisphenol that
might be in the epoxy. Any thoughts?
