Dear All!

I am new to this list, - that is from your point of view: myself, I am
following your interesting discussions, hyper-useful tips and comments (and
not to forget: jokes) for quite a while, i.e. since I, an adult beginner
(from Germany), started playing the clarinet last May. I'd rather be
listening for QUITE a while, given my experience and ability. But I've come
across another manufacturer (Guy Chadash) producing extensions for
A-Clarinets, see: http://www.chadashclarinet.com/basset.htm

(I have no vested interest, financial affiliations etc. etc....)

All best,

Frank Bezner

I would like to correct an inaccuracy in what I wrote above. It has
been pointed out to me that Steve Fox has been providing original RH joints
for different makes of instruments, as per the Howarth plan, for several
years, even though others have been working as I described. (Keith Bowen
has
already made a post of his own to this effect, I believe.) In addition, I
think no-one has any doubt that Steve's work is superlative, given the
professional references he has been given here and elsewhere.

I apologise to Steve Fox for my ignorance of the details of his work in this
area.

Tony
