I can see doing something of that sort for showmanship! I'd love to
have a DVD of that performance!

Sometimes, I think when we discuss performance, we forget the aspect of
showmanship. There are some players who really dazzle us with their
stage presence, and I think the example you cite above- well, let's face
it, not only was he, from what you say, a fine player, he was entertaining!

Anyone else here have memories of clarinettists who were also
entertaining in their performances? (classical, jazz, whatever, doesn't
matter what genre)
