Did you get a barrel that fit? And WHY was the tone so bad? If you =
didn't answer any of these questions first, you might have ditched a =
reasonable clarinet. Just playing the devil's advocate here.

I swore to myself I wasn't going to get into this discussion - BUT - in =
a
great moment of weakness (I should have known better) I bought a
"recommended" (by the seller of course) Eb that seemed to be at a =
reasonable
price. I already have a lamp made from a "student" clarinet. This Eb had =
a
barrel that didn't fit and a tone worse than an oboe whose player caught =
his
(or her) foot in the lawnmower. NEVER again.
