Jimmy,

This list is active. There is a steady stream of communication flowing on
the list. Most of this communication relates to clarinet/music issues or
between people who have clarinet interests in common. Things outside of this
list effect people on the list and from time to time and people bring their
outside lives and interests to the list. I don't see anything wrong with
this. As a matter of fact, it often helps everyone on the list to understand
how people come to certain positions or even conclusions.

As for your statement about the usefulness of the list....
Go to the archives and type in just about any topic you can think of about
clarinet. You'll find a lot of very useful information. All of this archival
information has been generated by the members of this list.
