My local Costco (Yorba Linda, CA) finally pulled its clarinets and flutes.
I've been bugging the manager for several months now regarding the quality
of these "instruments". I even brought in a borrowed student Yamaha
clarinet and showed him the difference in construction and playing
characteristics, bending a couple of keys on the display model in the
process.Apparently the store has had so many returns by dissatisfied
customers that they decided to pull them. I'd like to think that I had some
influence in the decision, but I take no credit.
