I cannot resist: your name is my favorite character in all of Mozart's
operas. Don Alfonso is the middle aged cynic who tries to convince the
younger men that their girlfriends will be unfaithful to them. He is a
baritone and sings in one of the finest of all Mozart's trios, "Soave si
il vento." The trio is sung by Don Alfanso, Fiordiligi, and Dorabella.
