Subj: [kl] Old Albert System C Clarinet
Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2004 11:27:08 -0500

My old retired teacher has given me an Albert System Clarinet in C. With
a bit of concentration, I find I can play it and it's in fine shape - no
cracks or leaks, good pads and corks.

I'm wondering about its age. The logo on the upper joint is:

BATTISTA
MILANO
C LP

And the serial number is 0257.

Can someone tell me anything about its history, in particular its age?
My teacher thought it may be over 100 years old.
