I can't resist.

After suffering a bit last night because of a mainline European
orchestra who didn't (imo) do so well, tonight I'll be listening to a
concert with combinations of, among other instruments, a contrabass
flute (6-1/2 feet long), one of those huge contrabass saxophones
(supposed to be only 17 of them in the world), a soprano saxophone that
looks to be about 12" long, a glass armonica (not a typo) which
allegedly sounds like rubbing the rim of a wine glass, a didgidiroo
(sp?), an acoustic pipe organ (with an established reputation)--- all of
this is acoustic, no electronic stuff.

A senior at the local university is presenting this concert as his
"senor recital". It will be a ticket-paying audience in a 1000-seat
auditorium. He will play piano, saxophone, bass, harp and percussion
during the concert "recital". Somehow he managed to gather together an
orchestra of 100 or so professional musicians, including one from 700
miles away.

....how can I resist?
