The not practicing much would be, for me at least, a non-issue. Adults
often have many demands on their time and practicing can sometimes get the
short end of the stick. The issue of canceling is also a non-issue in the
general sense as people get sick or have unexpected things happen. The real
issue is the person choosing to put themselves in a position of skipping a
lesson because they were irresponsible enough to party too hearty. In other
words, drinking and getting drunk are more important to this person than
learning the clarinet. No one needs this kind of student.
