I would like to add to Keith's lascivious description of what is
laughingly being advertised as a scholarly concert, the fact that it
will done at the Bellagio with full frontal nudity, except for the
basset horns which may or may not have a suitable figleaf to preserve
modesty, if we can find one large enough and someplace to attach it.

The sex police may have to be present to prevent any illicit conduct
(which in Las Vegas is defined as having carnal knowledge of either a
McCormack reaper while it is running or a Moose in estrus). Las Vegas is
rather liberal in that regard, but a Moose in estrus while playing the
Carnival of Venice variations on a fig-leafed basset horn is a dramatic
challenge. If I remember correctly, two different players tried it in
Cluj, Romania in the 1920s. In one case the player was killed during the
triple tonguing variation (measures 165-183), and in the other, the
Moose had a heart attack and died with a smile on its face. It was all
very sad, though the gesture was noble. The press did not report too
many details. You can read what was reported in the Cluj Poop, Oct. 17,
1921.

Scholarship like this you can't find every day.
