Bruce, I recently purchased a program called, Audio Cleaning Lab, 3.0.
It was on sale from 'Software outlet.com'. It was less than $25.00,
on sale, and will do what you mention above plus a lot more of course.
I haven't used it long enough yet for a knowledgeable evaluation but
it seems to work fine.......Magix produces the program.
