To lower the tone somewhat, as someone who began learning the clarinet only
in November I was pleased to discover that Ikea sells a nylon/polyester
shoulder bag called 'Set' that exactly fits the case of my Boosey & Hawkes
Regent. (And I mean 'exactly' - the manufacturing tolerances meant that one
bag I tried was just a little too narrow.) It doesn't offer much in the way
of extra protection, but as a means of slinging my clarinet from my
shoulder I thought it was great value for =A36 (sic) - and though the width
is tight (36 cm internal) there's a little space elsewhere for a stand and
some music, plus a couple of pockets for reeds or a sling.
