<< So, two main questions.

1. Do you use recording devices for evaluating
purposes?
If so, what works well for you?
Any suggestions that fall into the reasonably
affordable, high quality and portable categories?

2. What kinds of "liability limiting" devices do you
use, if any.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to your
input!!

1. I use the Sony minidisc recorder MZ-N707, and it has paid for itself over
and over and over....I use it for everything: recording students right
before solo and ensemble or other auditions so they can hear themselves, recording
my own vocal and clarinet recitals and concerts, and recording Gilbert &
Sullivan singouts!

2. My liability limiting technique is tied in to my desire to have the
parents involved. I leave my studio door open, and have the parents sitting within
ear and eyeshot so they know what's going on. I am less worried about any
improper allegations than perhaps a male teacher may be, however.
