Are your sure you want to play the Waterson? This was on Dan Leeson's list
on 10 worst clarinet works. I don't believe it is an accident that there
no recordings available (and I have at least 20 clarinet quartet CDs).

Here are some suggestions (I have repeated a few of Sean's to give the
publisher. BH= basset horn, AC = alto clarinet, BC = bass clarinet. A
slash as in Bb/A indicates both instruments are needed. Parenthesis Bb
(AC) indicates an alternative.

Three Preludes for Piano by George Gershwin arr. Gareth Brady Comus
Publications (Eb, Bb/A, Bb/A, BC [better with low C instrument])
Historie du Tango by Piazzolla arr. by C. Voirpy/Bruce Edwards (expensive)
Editions Henry Lemoine (Bb(Eb), Bb, BH (Bb, AC), BC)
Sevilla by I Albeniz arr. Karabell Musicians Publications (Bb, Bb, Bb (AC), BC)
Six Pieces D'Audition by Jean-Michel Defaye Alphonse Leduc (4 Bb)
Trois Divertissements by Tomasi Alphonse Leduc (4 Bb)
Ancient Hungarian Dances from the 17th Centtry by Farkas Editio Musica
Budapest (Eb, Bb, Bb, BC)
Scenes from Hungary by Farkas Editio Musica Budapest (Eb, Bb, Bb, BC)
Legende by Marcel Poot CeDeBe (Bb, Bb, AC, BC)
Cinq Movements by Claude Arrieu Gerard Billaudot (Eb,Bb,Bb, BC)
French Suite by Yvonne Desportes Southern Music Co. (4 Bb)
Canonic Suite by Elliot Carter Associated Music Publishers (4 Bb)
Petit Quatuor by Jean Francaix arr. Rainer Schottst Schott (Bb, Bb, BH, BC)
Elegy on an Irish Folk Melody arr. Edward Yadzinksi Plume d'Esprit (Bb, Bb,
Bb, BC)
Prelude and Scherzo by David Bennett Carl Fischer (4 Bb)
Scott Joplin: Portrait arr. Bill Holcombe Musicians Publications (Bb, Bb,
Bb (AC), BC)

Here is a fun one (from a posting on the bass clarinet list by the composer
Ian Holloway:
>Die Kunst Der Klarinette', a humorous set of variations on 'Colonel
Bogey' was recorded by the 'Thurston' clarinet quartet in London and
appears on their CD 'Clarinet Carnival' CD WHL 2095. Loosely travelling
through styles from Bach to Mozart (dancing the tango at one stage!) to
Schoenberg, it is scored for three clarinets and bass clarinet and is fun
to play. It has a particularly good bass clarinet part! It has been
impossible to order this music until now, but I am now publishing under my
own name. For details of price and how to order please contact the composer
at mailto:hollowayi@-----.co.za <

This isn't intended as a sales pitch but we do have recordings of some of
these available.
