David -

Weather permitting, find a busy street corner, leave your case open and pick
up some expense money.

Happy busking - HA HA.

Subject: [kl] looking for a place to practice in Reston VA USA

My work is going to take me to Reston VA on and off for the next several
weeks. If I can solve the problem of having two laptops to carry (don't
ask), I'll begin carrying my clarinets again.

However, I need to solve the problem of finding a place to practice. I
usually try to avoid practicing in hotels, figuring that most business
travelers want some peace and quiet. The hotel I am in does not have
conference rooms, so that option is out (and I've found it's usually a bit
iffy anyhow, depending on the room schedule and the hotel manager's mood).

I've had some success in the past with using music store practice rooms, but
don't know who might be available in the immediate area.

Any suggestions on music stores to contact, or other practice options, are
welcome. Thanks,

Dave Kumpf
