After working more on the clarinet, I took it to a quartet rehearsal
Saturday at Kalman Bloch's house. The members of the quartet enjoyed the
look and sound of the instrument until two pads fell out! I reseated these
pads with a match and played it a bit more. Then two more pads fell out.
Needless to say I went back to my trusty R13s and finished the rehearsal.

BTW the WWBW is refunding all postage costs and sending me a prepaid UPS
label. In spite of my experience with this unfortunate clarinet, WWBW is a
great place to shop.
