Don Hatfield has asked about Elite clarinets, and I will be interested in any responses to his questions, also. This is an interesting clarinet; I have never played one, and I have only met one person who has. A music store owner in San Diego said he had and liked it very much; he used a crystal mouthpiece with it, he said to compensate for it's smaller tone, I believe.

I just wanted to emphasize that I started the rumor about it being discontinued, having heard it at NAMM, and that I can not now remember who told me that and whether that person was in an official position or not. Hopefully someone from Buffet could clarify. I will not be able to read my email for 3 days. If it is not clear by Tuesday, I'll call then and see if I can clarify. I believe that telling news on the web is a responsibility.
