There is a version of the Finzi 5 Bagatelles with strings. At least
Stoltzman has played it and it may be available somewhere!

A local chamber orchestra, just starting up, has asked me to solo with
them this spring.

I want to play something fresh, but not too adventureous (audience of
conservative older people).

I am just brain dead coming up with something suitable.

Suggestions?

Has anyone ever done parts of the Weber Quintet as a solo with clarinet
and strings? Years ago, I played a band arrangement of the slow movement
and the last movement, arranged for clarinet and band. Worked as a solo
there.
