It sounds like the orchestra I play in, the Cobweb orchestra in the =
North of
England, run by composer/conductor Andy Jackson for the Northern =
Sinfonia.
The philosophy is that players turn up whenever they can. Some come
regularly to the weekly rehearsals, some to the weekend workshops, some =
to
special concerts. A different model, with surprisingly good results. =
Andy
composes and arranges furiously for the orchestra and has a lot of =
library
stuff now, which he will quite likely be willing to share. One piece =
which
goes well in your combination is his arrangement of Purcell, Abdelazar's
Revenge. He also has some cool clarinet quartet music. Another item is a
bass clarinet concerto, written for the orchestra by member Stephanie =
Cant,
a music teacher at Durham University, which I had the pleasure of =
performing
on a residential course in Italy last year. Since we often lack =
bassoons, I
am getting good at transposing bass clef C parts to the bass clarinet!

Other ideas: Bizet Symphony in C, Beethoven 1, 2, or 4, Brahms St =
Anthony
Variations, Rossini overtures

The web site is http://www.cobweborchestra.freeserve.co.uk/ and Andy is
contactable through that. Mention me.
