Yes, we had a lesson today and I showed Rebecca alternate fingerings for both
the high F and G that 'pop' out of the line in the 1st variation (the triplet
one).

Rebecca has only been in Florida for a few weeks, has only had about 3
lessons with me, and has to play the piece in 10 days! Obviously, this is not an
ideal situation under which to work...if I had more time, I might suggest
another piece, but Rebecca is actually doing quite well with the piece, now that we
straightened out the cuts and fingerings, etc. Technically, she is handling
the rest of it fine.

Also, the school/county she is in now is the best in the state, so there is a
lot of pressure put on the kids....lots of competition and high expectations.

I really appreciate all of the comments everyone has made, and hope that Miss
Rebecca will take them into consideration! :-)
