The Normandy is a student grade instrument. Some years it was made of
plastic and other years it was made of wood. Today's Normandy is a student
wooden instrument. It is slightly more expensive than the plastic Vito but
is still aimed at the student market. While I've never heard of them having
wood bodies with plastic bells and barrels, the Normandy has been around
long enough that this could have been one of its variations.
