I went to the WV solos and Ensembles for 3 years. I got a superior every
time. Once I even stopped and cried and I still got the superior. I had to
stop because I had a cold and my band director made me play anyway and my
throat couldn't handle it anymore. The judge told me to take a drink of
water and I started around where I had stopped.

As for the solo, my band director told me that I was doing good and told me
to work on it at my lesson today and if I wasn't comfortable, then I could
play the Weber Concertino or another solo that I know.
