Don't cut around your flaws! That'll just enable you
to get worse, and I doubt that is what you would like
to do. Perhaps for this years' solo and ensemble
festival, it'd be wise to pick something that you can
play all of, so that you can show off what you do
well. Sorry I don't come bearing any insights
concerning your "cut and paste" of Rossini, I just
don't think it's a good idea to play a piece of music,
and only play those parts that you don't have to work
on. Isn't part of the fun of music (or, really,
anything) working to make yourself better at it? Ok,
i'm off my soapbox now...again, sorry for totally
disregarding your ACTUAL question, but this is
something most of us should feel pretty strongly
