How very sad to here of the death of David Hite. He hand-made me a =
mouthpiece in 1980 that I still use to this day with my Buffet =
clarinets. We met at a lunch table after a lecture. He asked me about =
my current mouthpiece and how I liked it. After I told him I didn't, he =
told me that if I would send him my barrel, he would make me a =
mouthpiece. He was the nicest person and went out of his way for me. I =
have made sure to recommend his products ever since. That mouthpiece =
that he made me did everything that he said it would and then some. I =
sincerely hope that the Hite products will continue to be made to the =
same quality standard as has been done in the past.
