Erik --- putting business aside for a moment (how long do Pay Pal and
eBay and your credit card company give you to file a claim?) --- right
now you have an opportunity to judge how the instrument sounds and feels
*before* you discover whether it was considered top-of-the-line or
'student' level when it was built.

Often our perception of an instrument is biased by what we believe
(advertisements, price tag, opinions of other players, etc) before we
actually pick it up and play it. This is your chance to make a
decision that is based entirely on what you hear and feel when you play
it. It would be both amusing and educational if you found this
clarinet to be a terrific instrument and later you learned that it was
Selmer's least expensive.... or vice versa.
