Needed to add something to this post.

I don't know if it will help or make things worst. My oldest Buffet has
inetgrated barrel and upper section. As such the mouthpices socket MUST be
original. I have not noticed that any of mouthpices fit looslely. But I have
noticed that they don't go all the way in. I tried all of my mouthpices and
they all fit the same way.

I do have a very old wooden Buffet mouthpices that have not yet tried.

Sue, you will be trying this particular clarinet out soon (I hope). You'll
see what I mean.

Is this relevent? Why is the tenon socket shallower than the barrels of my
other Buffets?
