Why dilute the white vinegar? It's only a 5% solution to start with. With
the dilution, do you have anything much stronger than plain water? I use
the 5% vinegar on my circa 1940 Goldbeck as needed for cleaning the
exterior. Since I very carefully swab and rinse the mpc. after each use, I
don't get any interior "crud" or calcium buildup.

Another cleaning question that you may ask eventually is what to do
about the white stuff that may accumulate inside your mouthpiece over
time. This is a calcium build-up. Let the mouthpiece soak for 10-15
minutes in a mixture of 1/4 white (not flavored or seasoned) vinegar and
3/4 water.
