My recollection is that Fischer was the sole US distributor during the 1960s
and (at least early) 1970s while I was a student. I don't know how much
earlier or later the agreement covered, but I don't remember a time during
my memory when Cundy-Bettony was their distributor, so my guess is that they
were earlier - maybe 1930s or 1940s. I'm sure this information is available
online somewhere for anyone who wants to pursue it.
