Has anyone out there tried the new, high end Vandorens, the 56 Rue Lepic
(Vandoren's address is Paris)? I ordered a couple of boxes from WWBW, in
strengths 3 1/2 and 4. The 3 1/2s arrived a while back, but the 4s are
still on back order. ($26/box) These are the first reeds I've bought that
come in a vacuum pack, much like gourmet cat food. The reeds look very much
like the older Oliveri's, with a narrow taper cut, a quite thick stump, and
no second cut on the vamp. I find them very bright sounding.... more than I
really like. At least all the reeds played.

Any comments?
