That is probably a good thing. My son and I visited Cal Arts two years ago
(his interest was in the film program) and we were not at all impressed by
the condition of the facility. It appeared to be in great need of
refurbishment. It suffered earthquake damage some years ago and the
repairs, which weren't up to the original standard of construction, have
not worn very well. Perhaps something has been done since our visit.
