Ed,

I wanted a low E/F resonace for my Wurlitzer Reform-Boehms as is standard on professional models of Oehler system and so had one made but it turned out to be more of an E resonance than F. The mechanic couldn't figure out how to do it otherwise. One solution would be to change to Yamaha Reform-Boehm as they have arranged the low keys to resemble the Oehler-System. But I still much prefer my Wurlitzers to the Yamahas. I'm satisfied with my low E(/F) key too.

I have only ever seen it on one other Boehm clarinet: Clemens Wurlitzer was showing one at the Frankfurt trade fair I think about three years ago. It operated automatically when low E was fingered and went off when the register key was pressed. He may still offer it. Charles Bay did tell me that he was planning one (also automatic) but I never did see it. Don' know if he ever made one.
