Prompted by a thread on the bass clarinet list, but worth repeating here.

For those who are interested in working on bass clef, we have the second
edition of Martin Arnold's book:

C170: Bass Clarinet Scale Book by Martin Arnold. Aztecpress, Second Edition
2003, SB, 74 pages. This book was originally developed to assist those with
a bass clarinet to low C gain proficiency in the extended range and in bass
clef. The second edition, more than double in length, includes all of the
original material and adds scales in treble clef for both low C and low
E-flat instruments. It contains scales and chords of various types in all
keys. It also includes technique exercises to develop fluency in the
extended range. $19.95 + S & H.

Arnold is the bass clarinetist (and a clarinetist) of the Mexico City
Philharmonic and was a student Avrahm Galper in Toronto and of Lawrie Bloom
at Northwestern University.
