other and can contrast them in more meaningful ways eliminates a great
deal of bias. Now what I would like to hear is someone who went from a
Boehm system to an Oehler system. Did not the prinipal player in the

Yes, Michele Zukovsky does play the Oehler system. She changed over a
long time ago, got the LA job with it and considers the system to be
"good luck" for her.
Does she encourage her students to do it? No, not that I am aware of
(I didn't study with her, I work w/her online music).
btw:
She never took a lesson on the system from someone who played it
either! Studied for years and years with her dad Kalman Bloch.
