Dan Leeson posted re Aad Overeem's playing both Oehler and Klose/Boehm
systems:

<<<I found this message to be a particularly useful one. While the opinions
players who play one or the other are always interesting, they are sometimes
biased towards the system they use.

But here, the opinion of an indiviual who went from one system to the other
and can contrast them in more meaningful ways eliminates a great deal of
bias. Now what I would like to hear is someone who went from a Boehm system
to an Oehler system. Did not the prinipal player in the LA Phil do that?>>>

In addition to asking one who's switched, we could seek the advice of one
who regularly plays both. I think Greg Smith reads the list from time to
time. Both Greg and Larry Combs use Oehler clarinets when the CSO plays
certain pieces - I saw them do just this for Mahler 5 a year or two ago.

I thought it a bit of presitidigitation at the time.
