This still seems to be the case - from their Websites, the various
models they offer differ only in the sophistication of their
keywork, and such things as extra holes to improve tuning and/or
resonance. The German and Austrian manufacturers do not seem to have the
Anglo-Franco-Amarican concept
of providing lower *quality* instruments for students and amateurs.
