Erik,
I was just thinking (for a change)....I have a clarinet like that, too.
I thought there was no serial number at first but it turns out
there was....it was a lot smaller than I expected, and very faint
but I DID find it at the bottom of the lower joint. Mine was
made in 1911.

Carl Fischer, New York. The register key is the wrap around type. There is
no serial number marked anywhere, and it is marked LP (low pitch, I assume).
Is there any good way to tell how old it might be?
