It is not as beguiling as KVA 90 for Clarinet, Basset Horn and String Trio,
but lovely nevertheless. I had planned to present it to the group you see
in my Web page picture on December 28, but most unfortunately we were short
one violinist so we contented ourselves with some Stamitz and Crusell
quartets. I had transposed the second violin part to a Clarinet 2 for an
eclectic group consisting of flute, 2 clarinets, viola and piano (the piano
got the cello part) the day before. It worked pretty well. Our pianist is
sometimes snooty about that kind of thing but it turns out that the cello
part was sufficiently challenging to keep her in line!
