Is there any suggestion on a ligature or are most the same? Is there a
good one for a Hite Premier mouth piece? I know this on says five were
played the same. I mentioned before my ligature screw was broken and I
can't get a screw for it. While I'm asking about clarinets, mouth
pieces,
and ligatures; I am just wounding what kinds (or Brands) of reeds does
everyone use? I play with 2 1/2 and usually Rico's. If I had more
money
and could get more the 1 to 5 reeds in a pack I would get better
reeds.
The only problem is Sam Ash is about the only music store who carries
reeds. The local store in town only carries rental instrument (very
expensive and over priced).

Rob - go mail order!!! The Woodwind Brasswind at 800-348-5003, Muncy
800-333-6415, Weiner Music 800-622-2675 are to me the "big 3" mail
order suppliers. Another big one and very good is International Music
Suppliers which I don't currently have their #.

Get your supplies from them and save big $$ as well as having a
choice.

I suggest the Gem Swab to clean the Clarinet, Vandoren Reed Holder to
hold the reeds, for students either the Rovner Light (depends on the
student and level), Rovner Mark 3 (more advanced students) or the
Vandoren Optimum for my College and the High School Advancing
Students.
For students I use the Hite D facing Mouthpiece for more advanced ones
and the Fobes Debut for the starting ones. I play a 22 yr. old
Gigliotti P facing which I haven't found another one even close to it
so would probably go with the Hite when I need another MP.

I endorse/use the Grand Concert Thick Blank reed and so do my students
as I require them to play with a reed at all times.
