I try to steer people away from Minidisc because the quality just isn't
there. The conversion sucks and they often have some really nasty sounding
compressors to even out dynamics (just what we as acoustic musicians want).
The Sony's sound is the worst of them... The Sharps are a bit better, but
still not great. They are noisy (hear a lot of background hiss) as well...
Also, the table of contents is easily corrupted and then you loose all the
data on the disc.

The MD is a great replacement for the cassette, but not a great format.
