<< Because you used pejorative terms in your description of the instrument
(i.e., "crappy" and "plastic") shows that you have an intellectual bias
against plastic instruments that manifests itself in your description of
them, which means that your statements cannot be considered to be objective.

As it happens I perform on an instrument made of "alternative" material,
namely greenline, and I would happily perform on any plastic instrument
which produced, to my ears, an adequate sound. I have no time for people
who ascribe some sort of inherent moral superiority to one material over
another.

Now, a question: do you believe that the difference between, let us say,
good or bad instruments is one only of intonation? Because if not it seems
to me that my point stands.

I find it rather offensive that you should lecture me on prejudice and
unwillingness to take the argument seriously, when you yourself have not
engaged seriously with any of the points I've raised, choosing instead to
belittle me on points of writing style.
