Selmer has dropped the Bundy name, since George M. Bundy is dead and nobody
remembers him anymore. The Selmer 1400 (the original plastic Bundy) is
still being made, with the .590 cylindrical bore and straight tone holes
patterned on the Selmer Paris Balanced Tone and Centered Tone models. The
Selmer 1401 (formerly called the Bundy 577), with the polycylindrical .577
bore and undercut tone holes, is discontinued and replaced by the CL300,
and now CL301, with a smaller .573 bore. You can tell which your Bundy is
by seeing whether it has the "577" stamped on it under the logo.

Used Bundys are frequently found on eBay. You might be able replace the
whole instrument for less than the cost of a new joint, or piece one good
horn together out of two. Just make sure to match the models!

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
