Dear Colleagues;

A year ago I purchased an ibook G3 and a Mbox to do remote recordings on
(hence the laptop) and edit with. (The Mbox comes with pro tools, a standard
editing program.) I payed then $1,300 for the computer- now I think the G3's
are around a $1,000 and the Mbox was about $500. I purchased the ibook with
a CD-RW so I could burn the pro tools sessions to disc; basically you are a
portable recording studio. Anyway, I've since learned that the G3's are a
"student" model and the powerbooks- the G4's are more professional. Also
with the new version of pro tools 6.1 (for OSX) the manual recommends a G4
processor. I am trying to see if it will work on my G3.

Well that has been my experience- which I have been extremely happy with,
and I hope it may be of some help.
