Look for a shop where people can show You the different possible systems
(Mac PC) and where You can go if problems occur.

I use an old Powerbook Lombard or an old iMac G3 which are about 4 years old
and use an motu 828 firewire interface and Logic platinum.

It works fine for me but I think it really not up to date if you want high
end quality effects ...
