My second and bass players are too nice for me to insist they buy anything.
My section mates are too valuable to antagonize. Besides, I am not sure I
have the right to demand that anyone buy anything. As much as I don't like
to say so, I think that is the conductor's job. I am not so certain how
that could be enforced outside of a professional organization though.
