I can't let Troy and everyone think I actually already knew all of that. I
knew a lot of the pieces, but had to do a search for Toch. I knew about his
band piece "Spiel" and that he wrote a sonata, but that's all. Corigliano also
wrote a great band piece called "Gazebo Dances" that not a lot of people have
played because it's only available on rental....great clarinet parts.

I am the concert moderator for Central Florida Winds, so I have to look up
all the information about the composers (that's how I got the job....no one else
was interested enough to do all that work!) and I had just done Ives and
Dello Joio for our last 2 concerts. Plus, having worked in 4 different music
stores over a period of 13 years, you have access to all those music catalogues,
and you can really find out what's out there for clarinet. So Troy, since you
work in a music store, take advantage of your time there. :-)
